Sony launched its new 16.4 inch VAIO FW Notebook in the market. It will come in a premium and a standard model. The display of PC is well suited for Blu-ray Disc movies. It is provided with extra-wide LCD with 16:9 aspect ratios. The display provides razor-sharp details, bold colors and glare-free viewing. It is patented with XBRITE-HiColor LCD technology on select models.

VAIO FW Notebook is powered by Intel Centrino 2 technology. This technology is very much energy efficient and quick responsive. It is provided with some units of ultimate platform of window vista. The weight of the model is slightly more than six pounds.  

It comes with three entertainment software applications. The VAIO Movie Story software is capable to produce high quality movies. The music box software can play very pleasant music depends on ones mood. One can also create DVD/BD video and edit them easily at home. It also contains set of other softwares such as VAIO Media software, a DLNA with sharing applications.

The notebook offers various slots, ports and jacks to attach personal devices to note book. It is provided with a Memory Stick media/SD card slot, three USB ports, an iLINK IEEE 1394 port, microphone and headphone jack, and a 34mm Express Card slot. Thus file transfer from external devices become easier.

Energy Star 4.0 model of notebook is the most forward model which contain various eco friendly features such as solvent free power coating. The models are in the range of about $1,000 to around $1,750.
