Sony Introduces Three New Walkman Phones
Sony has added three new phones to its existing Walkman series - W902, W595, W302, which are packed with some distinctive features to deliver a great listening experience to music lovers.
All three phones include Photo fix, Picture blogging, PictBridge printing, video recording, Walkman player, PlayNow, TrackID, FM radio, 3D games, Java, video viewing, and Bluetooth technology. Other features include USB support, speakerphone, predictive text input, sound recorder, wallpaper animation, navigation key, modem and synchronization.
These phones also support e-mail and Bluetooth Stereo functionalities. All the phones are GSM/GPRS/EDGE enabled, whereas the W902 and W595 handsets are UMTS/HSDPA 2100 compliant.
Both W902 and W595 are similar in some features that are not found in W302. These features include a 2.2 inch 262,144 colour TFT screen with 240x320 pixels resolution, BestPic, Photo feeds, x-Pict Story, Shake control, Album art, SensMe, Access NetFront Web browser, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, and Stereo Portable Handsfree Media Manager.
The W302 includes a 2 megapixel camera with 2.5x digital zoom, upto 20MB on-board memory Stick Micro with 512 MB Memory Stick Micro. It comes in Volcanic Black, Wine red and earth green finish.
The W595 is a slide mobile phone with 3.2 megapixel camera and 2.5x digital zoom and upto 40MB internal Memory Stick Micro with 2 GB Memory Stick Micro. This phone is availalble in active blue, cosmopolitan white, jungle grey and lava black.
The W302 is a 2 migapixel camera phone with portable handsfree and a bundled 512MB memory card with a storage capacity of up to 479 songs. This phone comes in midnight black and sparkling white colors.
Price of these Walkman phones hasn't been disclosed yet. These phones are scheduled to roll out in the fourth quarter of 2008.
