Somdev Devvarman crashes out of Miami Open qualifiers

Somdev DevvarmanIndia's campaign in the ATP Masters $3,645,000 Sony Ericsson Miami Open qualifiers has came to halt as Somdev Devvarman has crashed out after going down to Ukrainian Illya Marchenko on Wednesday.

The 20th seeded Somdev was ousted by third seeded Illya in straight sets by 4-6 3-6 in the second round of the men's singles event of the Miami Open qualifiers.

Somdev, the World no. 120, had defeated David Guez of France in the first round but he failed to get past his third seeded opponent in the second round.

Somdev was looking in good touch in the first set but he failed to cash opportunities given by his opponent. The second set was just a cake-walk for the Ukrainian as he wrapped up the match in style.

With Somdev's exit, Indian campaign has also came to an end as Yuki Bhambhri had already crashed out of the tournament after losing his first round match on Tuesday.
