Slapped, kissed by Uma; party leader quitsIt was a high political drama in full public, where Bhratiya Jan Shakti party (BJS) President Uma Bharati slapped a top party functionary, then kissed him on the forehead and later gave up food to atone for her loss of control, but eventually the party worker resigned from his post on Wednesday evening.

All this high-drama occurred at Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh. Anil Rai, the BJS Chhindwara general secretary has announced to resign from the party

Uma slapped Rai while he was on the way to the party office in the town. Uma stopped his four-wheeler and slapped Rai in front of Public.

Uma was reportedly angry because Rai's supporters had refused to clear the Circuit House, and an Election Commission observer who was staying in an adjacent room had complained to the local police calling it a violation of code of conduct.

Rai said that he will follow the path of Prahlad Patel who heads the breakaway fraction of the Janshakti Party.
