Skygazers prepare for Perseids meteor shower
According to reports, the Perseids meteor shower is approaching its peak, and it is expected that it will be the best meteor shower in many years. One can also see meteors, even prior to or following the peak dates.
The meteor shower is also considered as among the best meteor showers of the year. The meteors are extremely bright in addition to the warm weather, so it becomes comfortable to watch it. This year is also expected to come up with this beautiful view. The night of August 12-13 is expected to be the peak of this year’s Perseids.
One needs to find a dark spot and adjust eyes to the darkness and just search for the view. Reports say that the meteors will glow from the constellation Perseus, however with all meteor shower radiant points, one doesn’t need to know Perseus in order to watch the shower. The meteors would be seen in all parts of the sky.
The Perseids meteor shower occurs once a year; it takes place when the debris trail from Comet Swift-Tuttle comes across the Earth. As per reports, a huge and extremely bright meteor is mentioned as a fireball. Fireball reports are followed by the American Meteor Society; if one sees such a thing, it can be reported to the American Meteor Society.
One can enjoy the best view of a meteor shower early in the morning, a few hours prior to sunrise when the sky appears darkest.
