SkyFire applies brake on Blackberry Browser

SkyFire applies brake on Blackberry BrowserSkyfire has hinted that it is temporarily stopping the work on its "under development" browser for BlackBerry devices.

The sudden proclamation in the act is being attributed to Android OS. It is believed that the entire team is focusing on the Android platform which has led the browser into pending status, confirms the CEO of the company.

Skyfire, the maker of the popular browser for mobile phones, states that it is convenient to develop on Android than to do so for the BlackBerry OS. And with the increasing viability of Android platform it is best stated for the company to have its product on at this period of time.

It dates back to last year when Skyfire had backed off from the development programme owing to a breach in a non disclosure agreement by an alpha tester. In addition to this measure it seems, Android is fast becoming the most sought after platform.
