SIT to probe terror links in Kerala
Kozhikode (Kerala), Apr 7 : The Communist Party of India- Marxist (CPM)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) Kerala Government on Tuesday said that it has set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe people having links with terrorists in the State.
Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said the State Government has received a list of suspected people from the Centre, who have links with terrorists.
Balakrishnan was reacting to Union Defence Minister A. K. Antony's reported remarks that the state had not taken any action on the list of people having links with terrorists in Kashmir, provided to it by the Centre.
"May be, Antony is not aware of these facts. Also, the Union Home Ministry has no complaints against the State on this score," he told reporters in a meet-the-leader programme here.
When asked about the Muslim outfit NDF, he said the group was involved in several murder cases. (ANI)
