When he came on the sets of Putra for the first time, actor Diganth was shocked to not find actress Shubha Poonja around. He was surprised that she had been replaced by actress Supreetha (of Ambaari fame) without his knowledge.

Putra is the remake of Emdan Magan, a Tamil film. Shubha had been chosen earlier to play the female lead opposite Diganth but she was then replaced by Supreetha. Putra was supposed to start rolling last year.

Shubha's replacement came about because she had her hands full with a number of projects and she was having date issues. But the actor hadn't imagined that she wouldn't do the film. He was amazed to find Supreetha on the sets instead of her.

Meanwhile, Diganth is happy about the beginning of Swayamwara.
