Latest reports have revealed that Shriram Properties is set to diversify into warehousing and logistics infrastructure.

The company is presently in discussions with investors for a joint venture to set up a network of warehouses and logistics facilities to offer end-to-end solutions in supply chain management.

A company official, who did not want to be identified, has informed that company has already acquired land for the project and investments will depend on the comfort level of the partner.

Further, company official reported that Shriram Properties is initially looking at setting up a facility near the Sriperumbudur industrial hub near Chennai to exploit the opportunities offered by the electronics, automobile and other manufacturing units.

Market experts believe that the potential for investments in modern infrastructure in this sector is huge and Shriram Properties has sufficient land bank for exploring opportunities in warehouses and logistics facilities across the country.

Shriram Properties is expected to launch the project in next few months.
