Shoot-out in eastern Lebanon kills two
Beirut - Two men were killed Wednesday in eastern Lebanon in a clash with Lebanese army troops, police said.
The army were chasing the pair on suspicion of drug trafficking and robbery in the area of Majdal Anjar, the police said.
Meanwhile in Beirut, the army cordoned off an area in the Ashrafiyeh Christian sector, after they found a suspicious suitcase on the roadside, police said.
Earlier in southern Lebanon, a bomb exposded in the village of Marwahin, injuring one woman.
There were no initial indications of a motive for the explosion. (dpa)
