Shane Warne to appear as his own parents in VB ads

Melbourne, Nov 10 : Australian bowling great Shane Warne is all set to appear as his own parents in a series of TV advertisements for VB beer.

In the advertisement series, which will be a follow up of the hugely successful Boonie doll campaign, VB will launch Warne figurines with the campaign, suggesting Australians raise a toast to the king of spin.

Terming the experience as “fantastic,” Warne said: "I had a great time dressing up as my old man and my mother. I even had the chance to be baby Warney. It was a hoot."

"I absolutely loved doing the ads," news.com.au quoted Warne, as saying.

"It took a couple of hours to get made up for each character, but it was a load of fun.

"I felt really comfortable dressing up as my father… It was really cool, completely different.

"I felt like I was Tom Selleck, Magnum PI or someone," added the former cricketer.

Warne said he had "no problems whatsoever" in poking fun at himself.

"I think the ads are very funny and hopefully everyone else thinks they are as well… The bald head, the long socks, the retro VB can, I loved it all," he added. (ANI)
