Sensex Weak In Opening Session
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), remained weak in the morning trade today.
The Sensex, which opened at 17,267.25, declined 17.02 points to trade at 17,248.85 points.
In the meantime, the broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty stood at 5,170.2, down 0.17% as against its last closure.
Broader market indices were trading on a flat note.
On Thursday, the Sensex closed at 17,265.87 after gaining 70.06 points, while Nifty recorded a gain of 22.25 points at 5,178.90.
The top gainers in the list were Mah & Mah, Tata Motors, ONGC, DLF and JP Associates.
The losers list comprised Bharti Airtel, RIL, Wipro, Hindalco and SBI. (With Inputs from Agencies)
