Sensex Slips In Morning TradeThe 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) was trading 89 points down in the morning.

The BSE Sensex, which belled the day at 19,982.9, declined 89.62 points (0.45%) to 19,891.69 as against its last closure at 19,981.31.

At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broad-based Nifty slipped 0.4% to 5,968.35.

Broader markets remained in the negative terrain, with the BSE midcap index trading 0.63% lower and the BSE smallcap index trading 0.75% down.

On Monday (Dec 05), the stock markets ended the day on a flat note on account of heavy selling pressure during the last trading hour.

The Sensex ended at 19,981, up 14 points, and the broad-based Nifty declined 0.55 points to end the day at 5,992.

Shardul Kulkarni of Angel Broking stated, "The markets are likely to consolidate over the next few sessions but the underlying bullish tone has not changed."

Banking scrips sold off over liquidity worries, with the index dropping 2.37%.

Real estate, CD, FMCG, Healthcare and PSU scrips also marked their closures in the negative terrain.
