The BSE Sensex made this profit on the back of healthy buying activity by funds as well as retail investors in scrips from metal, banking, real estate and IT amid sturdy Asian signals.
After belling the day on a negative note, the Sensex shortly entered into the positive zone on account of heavy buying across scrips of Hindalco industries, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, Jindal Steel and SBI among others.
