Sensex Opens On A Flat Note
Today, the 30-share index Sensex belled the day on a flat note at 17,141.53 as against its last closure.
The Sensex stood at 17,162.05 after surging 20.52 points (0.12%) from its previous close.
In the meantime, the broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty increased by 0.11% to trade at 5,141.8 in the morning trade.
Broader market indices were also performing better with the BSE midcap index trading 0.56% higher and the BSE smallcap index ruling 0.62% up.
On Tuesday, Sensex closed at 17,141.53 after losing 189.02 points on the back of profit booking in all segments by local operators.
The broad-based Nifty eased by 57.45 points to mark its closure at 5136.15.
All the segments saw heavy selling pressure on Tuesday.
The top losers list comprised metal, real estate, infrastructure and oil and gas. (With Inputs from Agencies)
