Sensex, Nifty Subdued In Listless Trade
Indian equities were trading on a dull note in the last trading session of the week, with no major buying activity happening among frontliners or broader markets.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which belled the day at 17,523.47, stood at 17,531.01, up 21.68 points (0.12%) as against its last closure at 17,509.33.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broad-based Nifty was trading 0.09% up at 5,256.3 as compared to its last closure at 5,251.4.
Broader markets indices were trading in the positive terrain, with the BSE midcap index trading 0.34% up and the BSE smallcap index 0.65% higher.
Other major Asian bourses also ended the day on a negative note, while trading was slow at European stock markets. (With Inputs from Agencies)
