Continuing the downward rally, Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex declined 147 points further during early trade today.

At 9.32 a. m., the 30 share index, which belled the day at 16,256.53, fell 147.08 points to trade at 16,180.76 as against its previous closure.

At the same time, National Stock Exchange's Nifty stood at 4,837.85, down 49.9 points against the previous close at 4,887.75 points.

However, broader markets were trading in the green zone, with the BSE midcap index gained 0.13% and the BSE small cap index trading 0.27% up.

On Thursday, Sensex closed at 16316.28, down 112.63 points. The index hit an intra-day low of 16287.17 and high of 16452.51.

Nifty ended at 4883.95, down 30.05 points after touching an intraday low of 4873.70 and high of 4922.05. (With Input from Agencies)
