Sensex closed with 85 points down
The Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex has been closed with a point lower than 85 points from its previous close. The Reserve Bank has introduced fresh policy rate today which has affected the index hugely.
The last few days has been an absolute bull run for the index, but today it has seen a decline. Before the declaration of the policy rate, the Sensex had seen a growth of 135 points on early trade.
But by the mid day, Reserve Bank had declared that it will increase the key policy rates which had pulled the benchmark by almost 84.62 points. The Sensex was closed at 19,417.49 points after the day's trading.
The same thing happened with the 50 scrip Nifty as well. The National Stock Exchange index Nifty has fallen down by 32.25 points after the trading today and had been recorded at 5,828.70 points. However, Nifty had managed to touch the magic point of 5,900 points for the very first time in the period of previous 32 months time.
