Schools for female students in Pak receive threats

Peshawar, Dec 11: Several government girls’ schools in Pakistan have reportedly received threatening letters that they would be blown up if their staff does not observe proper Purdah.

According to a police official, schools in Ghari, Banda and Ahmed Shah villages have received such letters.

“Most of the students, even in lower classes, have already started wearing veils to avoid an attack by militants, ” he said.

He said the area fell under the Matni Police station, which was close to the tribal region. It was an area where police patrolling is irregular. (ANI)
