Popular actor Sameer Soni tied the nuptial knot with and actress-turned-jewellery designer Neelam Kothari in a straightforward and quiet ceremonial occasion, which took place at Taj Land's end in Bandra.

The hot couple, who made their connection official during the last year, will host a splendid reception party on January 26 with several A-listers invited to the bash.

But, a few of their fast friends from the Hindi film industry also attended the marriage ceremony.

Television bigwig Ekta Kapoor, who is a close friend of Neelam, and his actor father Jitendra attended the wedding.

An elated Sameer said, "We will have a very quiet wedding ceremony with just our parents and siblings. We will have a wedding reception for our friends Jan 26."

Recently, Sameer was hitting headlines with Bigg Boss.

In 2010, Sameer declared his love for Neelam at his birthday party, but she was unable to describe their rapport.

It was a difficult situation for her as she looked offhanded for such a state. But as love definitely discovers its path, the pair became committed to one another and the remaining is a fairy tale.

While talking about their post marriage plans, Neelam said, "Yes, I am very happy. We plan to start a family immediately. We want lots of kids."

This is a second wedding for both Samir and Neelam.

Previously, Neelam was married to industrialist Rishi Sethia whereas Samir was married to model Rajlaxmi Khanvilkar.
