Salim Talks About Indian Idol
Ace music directors Salim and Sulaiman are famous for scoring hit music for flicks like Kurbaan, Chak De! India, and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
Salim- Sulaiman always worked jointly until Indian Idol 5, where only Salim Merchant, from the pair, is a judge on the show.
That led to a lot of raised eyebrows and people questioned if there were some conflicts between them.
Salim refused any such thing and said that it doesn't matter if it's him or Sulaiman, as they are pushing the same brand name, Salim-Sulaiman. He was also questioned recently why he decided to work in Indian Idol 5, although it was very obvious that only one of them could do it.
He disclosed that they had to take a decision about this together and that's when they determined that Salim would go forward with it.
All of the past Indian Idol judges have problems conforming to Anu Malik's discourteous comments on the judgments they pass.
Salim says he has no such problems though. He clears up that he has a better relationship with Anu than he does with Sunidhi.
Salim also says that he is stunned by the response received by the show. He admits that he didn't anticipate that the kind of participation and fervor he saw in the air. (With Inputs from Agencies)
