An unmanned cargo ship to the International Space Station has been successfully launched by a Russian rocket. The crews at the space station are impatiently waiting for it following the successive failures of two earlier supply missions.

The United States and Russia may have many problems, when it comes to Syria, Ukraine, and Edward Snowden. However, both the nations expressed contentment, when the Russian rocket successfully launched urgently needed supplies for the International Space Station.

According to Michael Suffredini, manager of the International Space Station Program for NASA, "We've always assumed we would lose a vehicle every so often. Having three this close together is not what we'd hoped for".

Earlier there were two failed attempts, one by the US and one by Russia. The attempts were made to send a wagon carrying food, water and toothpaste for the space station's crew. The successful launch on Friday was highly praised throughout the world.

The statements regarding relief and happiness together with congratulations to one another indicated that Washington and Moscow are moving in the direction of settling issues between them in the face of a post-cold-war of Russo-American relations at low.

The US is intimidating Russia with tougher sanctions after it showed aggressive attitude to Ukraine. And some Russian officials have restored Soviet-sounding. They used the warning of nuclear confrontation, saying "we will bury you". They also used the term incineration, if the US keeps on sending heavy weapons to the former Soviet republics on western border of Russia.
