Rockets Lose Steam As Badshahs Win By 31 Runs
Lahore Badshahs won the first tie match in the Indian Cricket League (ICL) Twenty20 Championship by 31 runs. The team has already lost two consecutive matches to the Ahmedabad Rockets at the Sardar Vallabbhai Patel stadium.
Ahmedabad Rockets faced Badshahs in the absence of Inzamam Ul Haq and Azhar Mahmood. The team set a target of 136 for nine wickets in allotted 20 over.
Rockets won the toss and decided to field first. They failed to stand before the team and lost their star batsman Ryan Campbell in the first over. He could make only a single run. Parvez Aziz of rockets made the highest score of 26 in 30 balls. Other players such as Reetinder Sodhi and Bhima Rao contributed low score of 14 and 13 in the team’s kitty.
The team of Lahore Badshahs expressed happiness on the victory and said that it is determined to win the forthcoming match with heart and soul.
