London, December 19 : Ace footballer Robinho will no longer need the bus pass his cheeky team-mates have given him, for he has purchased a 200mph Lamborghini.

Man City stars joined forces to get the 590-pound annual pass after they read that Robinho went shopping on public transport.

However, the 24-year-old bought a brand-new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.

According to reports, the white colour motor cost him 170,000 pounds.

Robinho spent six pounds on taking his girlfriend shopping by bus last month.

"Players thought it was hilarious. They gave him the pass in training. They cut his picture from a team photo and copied his signature. Now he's got a Lambo, it doesn't look like he'll need it," the Sun quoted a City insider as saying.

Robinho bought the car in Stockport.

"I doubt he'll get to training quicker given the traffic but he won't have to pull in to all the bus stops," an onlooker joked. (ANI)
