Rivian R1T and R1S EVs now available for lease in 33 U.S. states
Irvine, California-headquartered Rivian Automotive is now offering its R1T and R1S EVs for lease in nearly three dozen states across the U.S., following addition of three more states to the list. As per fresh information, the Rivian R1T and R1S EVs are now available for lease in a total of 33 states in the North American nation, with Connecticut, Hawaii and Rhode Island added to the list recently.
The Rivian R1T leasing program was introduced in November 2023. Without wasting much time, the EV startup quickly expanded the leasing program by adding the R1S to the list in early 2024. The addition of the R1S to the least provided buyers with more options to go electric without paying in lumpsum.
The R1T (Adventure Dual Standard version) is available to lease for as low as $559 a month, which makes it cheaper than even a Nissan Titan. Otherwise, the 2024 Rivian R1T Adventure Dual Standard costs $69,900.
The R1S lease starts at $639 a month. The deal also applies to the latest variant of the R1S Adventure Dual Standard that has an MSRP of $74,900.

Now, the company has revealed that it is now leasing the R1T and R1S models in a total of thirty-three state across the U.S. The long list includes Alabama, Arizona, Alaska, Colorado, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Texas, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, and Washington.
In the January through March quarter (Q1) of 2024, the R1S surfaced as the fourth best-selling EV in the entire country, behind only the world-renowned Tesla Model Y crossover SUV, Model 3 electric sedan, and the Ford Mustang Mach-E.
The expansion of leasing program for the Rivian R1T and R1S EVs demonstrate the automaker’s commitment to making EVs more and more accessible to the masses. With competitive leasing rates, Rivian seems to be well-positioned to grow its presence in the high-competitive U.S. market.
