Ride1Up, a popular American electric bicycle (e-bike) brand based in California, has announced the launch of the Prodigy V2, an upgraded version of the already adored Prodigy e-bike engineered for urban adventures and off-road excursions alike. The new Prodigy V2 has been made available in two initial options: a nine-speed derailleur gear setup or an Enviolo CVT paired with a Gates CDX Drive. Both options boast front suspension system as standard feature, providing confidence for riders who love to venture off the beaten path. Additionally, the manufacturer has added full-coverage fenders to keep the rider clean during rides, off the beaten path. A practical rear rack is also there to transport everyday essentials.

The Prodigy V2 also boasts advanced technology, featuring a German-made Brose mid-drive system that is renowned for its exceptionally smooth performance as well as near-silent operation. In other words, it offers riders a superior experience. The electric motor (e-motor) of the e-bike is powered by a robust Samsung 36-volt, 14-Ah battery pack that promises extended riding capability.

In terms of the drivetrain, the new e-bike provides riders with two distinct options. One can opt for the standard nine-speed derailleur gear setup, which is ideal for traditional gear shifting, or pick the premium Enviolo CVT hub that comes paired with a stylish Gates CDX Carbon Belt drive. This premium drivetrain not just adds to the e-bike's aesthetic appeal but also boosts its performance.

When it comes to speed, the Prodigy V2 does not disappoint. It offers a top speed of 28 miles per hour (mph) on pedal assist mode. This makes it an apt choice for riders who want a perfect combination of speed and versatility.

The Prodigy V2 is surely built for diverse terrains, as it comes equipped with specialized Maxxis Rekon Race tires (2.25 by 27.5 inches) for incomparable traction on city streets as well as off-road paths. The list of safety features includes front & rear LED lights for visibility in low-light conditions, complemented by a beautiful integrated brake light for added security. The e-bike confidently stops with 180-mm hydraulic disc brakes, ensuring reliable braking power. In essence, the new e-bike seamlessly merges advanced technology with attractive design.

The Ride1Up Prodigy V2 is available in a choice of two appealing configurations: the standard nine-speed setup and the Enviolo CVT option, which comes with reasonable price tags of US$2,395 and US$2,695, respectively.
