Reva to roll out new model of E-Car with advanced battery, by this
Electric car maker Reva Electric Car Co has informed that it will launch a new model powered by advanced battery technology this year.
The latest model will be powered with lithium-ion based battery and would be launch by May this year.
Sources revealed that the new car with a single charge will cover an approximate distance of 120 km, and will be ideal for city driving conditions.
In addition, the new battery will take less charging time compared to its previous model. The battery is expected to take an approximate time of one hour.
Apart from latest development, the company will also establish its second manufacturing plant in the country. The company plan to add another factory to the existing one in Bangalore with installed capacity of 30,000 vehicles.
Further, the company has informed that it will setup a sales target of 1,000 electrical vehicles this fiscal, out of which company has already sold more than 500 vehicles till now.
However, for next year, the company is eyeing a sale target of 4,000 vehicles, about half of which will be exported.
It may be noted that, Reva is currently working in domestic market, for strengthening of its distribution network. Earlier, the company has tied up with Reliance Digital to sell through their network.
Apart from this, the company plans to enter another 15 major cities by the year-end. At present, the company has exclusive showrooms in Delhi and Bangalore and sales outlets in cities like Pune and Hyderabad.
