Reva to roll out 2 new models
Reva, a leading electric car maker, would soon introduce two new indigenous vehicles including a four-seated, two door hatchback and another sporty model in a bid to increase its customer base.
The company is ready to brand the products the NXR and NXG versions of electric cars at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in Germany for attracting European customers.
Chetan Kumaar Maini, Chairman and Chief Technology Officer, Reva Company said, "The two cars target two different consumer sets. The NXR is perfect second car; it is automatic, easy to drive, park and safe. It will have optional solar panels on the top. The NXG, on the other hand, is a complete lifestyle fun car."
Mr. Maini added that the prices for the NXR and NXG versions of electric cars would be divulged at the International Motor Show in Germany. The electric car manufacturer aims to cover 24 Asian and European countries to brand the NXR.
Setting a target to sell 30,000 vehicles in three years, Mr. Maini said that the company wants to change the perception of Reva as a women's car or the second car of the family for short drives.
