At least nine African migrants drown off Yemen coast Sana'a, Yemen  - At least nine African migrants drowned after they were forced at gunpoint by the traffickers transporting them to to jump from a boat off Yemen's southern coast on Tuesday, rescuers said.

The traffickers forced more than 90 passengers, mainly Ethiopians, to jump overboard as the boat neared the end of its trip off the southern Yemeni town of Ahwar on the Gulf of Aden, rescuers told German Press Agency dpa.

The boat capsized when the passengers rushed to one side of the boat, loaded with around 100 migrants, as it was docking at the port, sources told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.

French Navy rescues 100 migrants as boat drifts in Gulf of Aden Sana'a, Yemen - A French Navy ship rescued around 100 African migrants, mostly Somalis, on a drifting boat in the Gulf of Aden on Saturday, a Yemeni coastguard source said.

The source told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa that the boat was 65 miles from the southern Yemeni port of Aden when it drifted after an engine failure.

A French frigate patrolling the area spotted the boat and rushed to its rescue.

South Korean convoy in Yemen escapes suicide attack unharmed Sana'a  - A suicide bomber blew himself up on a road leading to Yemen's Sanaa International Airport as a convoy of South Korean police investigators and diplomats passed by on Wednesday, police officials said.

The attack took place as the convoy was leaving al-Dailami military base. The bomber, who was killed in the attack, had been waiting outside the gate of the base.

Yemen court verdict in Iran espionage case postponed again

Yemen court verdict in Iran espionage case postponed again Sana'a, Yemen - A Yemeni state security court on Monday postponed for the second time the pronouncement of its verdict in the case of three Yemenis charged with spying for Iran.

The court was due to deliver its ruling during a session Monday, but court officials told reporters the verdict session was rescheduled one more week.

The verdict was initially scheduled for March 9, but the court's presiding judge Muhssien Alwan adjourned the pronouncement for one week, without giving any reason for the delay.
