Mena SuvariWashington, October 25 : Mena Suvari, best known for her acclaimed performances in ‘American Beauty’ and ‘American Pie’, has admitted that she loves ‘a good scandal’ in a script.

The 29-year-old, who played her last hair-raising role in ‘American Beauty’ a decade ago, revealed that she couldn’t resist a well-scripted scandal, and was most impressed when she was offered with one in her latest movie ‘Sex Lies And Sin City: The Ted Binion Scandal.’

"Well, the script came to me, I read it and it really appealed to me,” CBS News quoted her as telling them.

Odierno vows to help Iraq and Turkey against PKK

Baghdad - Top US Commander in Iraq General Ray Odierno has pledged to work with the Iraqi and Turkish governments to halt any attacks by the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) against Turkey, a US military statement said Saturday.

Odierno met in Turkey Saturday with General Hasan Igsiz, deputy chief of Turkish General Staff, to discuss military cooperation and "US forces' ongoing assistance to Turkey in its effort to defeat the Kurdish rebel group known as the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK," according to the statement.

A spate of PKK attacks killed dozens of Turkish soldiers and civilians, sparking public outcry and pledges from Turkish leaders to deal with the group, the statement noted.

Press wants Barack Obama to win White House race: Survey

According to a Pew Research Center survey of 1,003 adults conducted from October 17-20, among Republican respondents, the figure was 90 percent, and even 62 percent of Democratic respondents agreed with the idea that “most journalists are pulling for Obama.”
