Biden-Lugar Bill has not died down: Haqqani

Pakistan, USWashington, Jan 31 : Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States, Hussain Haqqani, has said that so long as Washington considers Islamabad its friend, financial aid would not stop, and added that the Biden-Lugar Bill has not died down.

He further said that the Biden-Lugar Bill would be presented in few days with the signatures of its new movers, besides till now there was no hitch in its approval.

Geo TV quoted him as saying that the majority of both the Houses were not in favour of slapping more restrictions on Pakistan.

PakistanLahore, Jan 31 : The Pakistani port city of Karachi is under threat from terrorists, and may witness terror strikes similar to Mumbai, Governor of the Sindh province Ishratul Ebad said.

According to The Daily Times, Ebad said that the financial capital of Pakistan, Karachi is facing a tricky situation with the Talibani terrorists mixing with the population and raising funds illegally to carry out their devastating plans.

"There is the infiltration of a few people. For terrorism you don't need the masses, rather you need a few people to create havoc in your area," Ebad said.
