Srinagar, Oct 5: Indefinite curfew imposed in Kashmir Valley ahead of separatists'' rallyAn indefinite curfew has been imposed in the entire Kashmir valley to thwart a march by separatists to Lal Chowk in Srinagar on Monday.

Separatist leaders had planned a march to Lal Chowk to support their demand for right to self-determination.

In certain civilian areas, which are prone to stone-pelting incidents, mobile teams of the police and para-military forces were seen with their anti-riot gear on.

CRPF personnel found dead under suspicious circumstances in SrinagarSrinagar, Oct 4 : A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was found dead under “suspicious” circumstances at a security camp near Srinagar, a police spokesperson said here today.

He said Constable Gundrapa Bara of 25 Battalion was found dead at CRPF camp at Humhama on night of October 2.

Earlier last month, a CRPF head constable –G. D. Chhikodi Singh -- of 180 Battalion was also found dead in similar circumstances at a security camp at Tral in Pulwama district on September 27.

According to official sources, a group of three to four militants entered into Indian territory along the international border in Kunara Tana Khurd forward area in R S Pura belt of Jammu district.

BSF troops fired back resulting in a gunfight. One intruder was shot dead, while the others escaped back to Pakistan area''s Ditch cum bandh (DCB).

The work on infrastructure facilities at Salamabad near Uri on Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road is almost in its final stages.

“We are making store houses, examinations halls for the examination of incoming and outgoing goods, scanning halls and fumigation halls, CHA facilities,” said Nisar Ahmed, Project Engineer.
