Jammu, July 7: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad will prove his majority on the floor of the State Assembly today. The term of the State Government expires on November 2.
A special session of the Assembly has been summoned by the State Governor NN Vohra following withdrawal of support by the People's Democratic Party (PDP) on the issue of land transfer to Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board.

Srinagar July 4 : In a joint operation by Pulwama Police and 182 Batallion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has eliminated a militant of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in Pulwama district.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pulwama, Ali Mohammad, police on specific information launched an operation in an area between village Barpora and Wagahama in Pulwama.
Police was later on joined by 182 Battalion of CRPF.
