“Foreign militants entering Balochistan via Pak-Afghan border”

Pakistan FlagIslamabad, Nov 28 : Pakistani intelligence agencies are learnt to have gathered credible information on the influx of foreign militants and sophisticated weapons into Pashtun areas of Balochistan PROVINCE via the Pak-Afghan border. The weapons were being supplied to Balochistan’s Chaman, Pishin and Qila Abdullah districts for the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), by ‘anti-Balochistan and anti-Pakistan quarters’, the Daily Times quoted reliable sources as saying.

Miliband asks Pak to directly engage with US to resolve drone strikes issueIslamabad, Nov 27: British Foreign Secretary David Miliband, who is currently on a visit to Pakistan, has reportedly urged Islamabad and Washington to resolve the problem of the drone attacks, and asked Pakistan to engage directly with the US to stop these raids.

“Pakistan should engage with the US government to get the drone attacks stopped,” the Daily Times quoted Miliband as saying while speaking at the International Islamic University.

Pak PM condemns Mumbai attacks

Pak PM condemns Mumbai attacksIslamabad, Nov 27 : Pakistan has reportedly condemned last night’s multiple terror strikes in Mumbai, in which at least 80 people have been dead so far.

Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani condemned the gun and grenade attacks. In a message he said: “We condemn these attacks,” reported the Daily Times

While the US State Department called the attacks ‘horrific’, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the incident was ‘outrageous’ and expressed solidarity with India.

Pakistan to buy German submarines

Islamabad Supreme CourtIslamabad  - Pakistan has formally decided to buy three Type 214 German submarines under a more than 1 billion dollar deal that the two countries are expected to sign in coming months, a media report said on Wednesday.

German shipbuilding company Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft GmbH (HDW) will construct the diesel-electric submarines in a shipyard in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi, Pakistan's English-language daily The News reported.
