New Delhi, Dec 11 : Union Minister for Women and Child Development Renuka Chowdhury today proposed a child friendly logo for industry, declaring that the child labour has not been used in any form at any stage of manufacturing or production of goods.

Speaking at the National convention on Right to Education and abolition of Child Labour organized by National Child Rights Commission in collaboration with UNICEF here, Chowdhury said the proposed logo would give competitive advantage to Indian industry at international level.

Varanasi, Dec 11 : Varanasi, famous for silk, is fast emerging as a market for the traditional Tibetan robes.

Tibetan robes made of brocket cloth and peacock feather has been given a special place in Buddhist religion. The Buddhist monks consider it as a holy cloth and use it in every religious activity and ceremony.

According to the exporters, the demand of robes made of peacock feathers is high in foreign countries and fetch a good deal of foreign clients.

Hyderabad, Dec 11 : Ever since the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests banned animals being tamed to perform in circuses except elephants and dogs, these entertaining ventures under the ''Big Top'' are starved of public patronage.

Consequent to the Government''s directives, the circus industry was compelled to hand over almost all its trained animals like the sloth bear that could ride a moped, felines (tigers and lions) which could jump through rings and a hippo to the Forest Department.

“We’ll tackle terror with patience, but nobody dare attack us .We will not be provoked into war, people expect India to act to protect itself. War is not a solution,” he said.
