Indian Navy destroys pirate vessel off Somali coastNew Delhi, Nov 19: The Indian Navy Warship, INS Tabar, armed with supersonic BrahMos (PJ-10) anti-ship cruise missiles, sank a pirate vessel off the Somali coast after an exchange of fire on Tuesday evening. This is second successful operation of the naval ship against the pirates in Gulf of Aden within a week.

The Indian Navy warship foiled an attempt by the pirates to hijack an Indian and a Saudi ship off the Somalian coast last Tuesday.

BJP says if voted to power it would execute Afzal Guru

Afzal GuruNew Delhi, Nov 18 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has said that if voted to power it would execute Afzal Guru, convicted in 2001 attack on the Indian Parliament.

BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Vijay Kumar Malhotra said this while releasing the party’s election manifesto along with other leaders on Tuesday (November 18) for the Delhi state assembly polls.

Malhotra blamed the state’s ruling Congress party for delaying the execution of Afzal Guru.

Pakistan finds nothing threatening in Sino-India air drill

He had stated that though there was no schedule as yet, it would take place "sooner than later". Security beefed up in Kanpur ahead of third ODI between India and England

Ramadoss calls on Norwegian Prime Minister in Oslo

During this meeting, Dr. Ramadoss highlighted implementation of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), Imunisation Programme, maternal and child health programme, tobacco control measures, HIV/AIDS in India.

Stoltenberg appreciated Dr Ramadoss on the NRHM and the reduction in Maternal mortality ratio in India.
