Why issue of terrorism not on NIC meet agenda: Modi, RajeAhmedabad, Oct 12 : Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasudhara Raje have taken strong exception to the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government’s decision of not including terrorism in the agenda of the National Integration Council (NIC) meeting to be held on Monday.

The two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have shot letters to Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh in this regard.

Speaking at the inauguration of a flyover at Chanakyapuri in Ghatlodiya of the city, Modi said, "Some people who are trying to create problems in the project''s path will not get success."

The Chief Minister added that people are happy that Nano project is in the state.

Tata, Modi sign MoU for setting up ‘Nano’

Chief Minister Narendra ModiAhmedabad, Oct 7 : Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for setting up ‘Nano’ car project in Gujarat.

The project plant will be set up in Sanand, 30 kms from the Ahmedabad, on the land of Anand Agriculture University (AAU).

Officials said that 1,000 acres of land would be given to the Tata Motors.

Nano likely to roll-out of Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Oct 7 : The “Nano” which is being manufactured by Tata Motors, is likely to roll out of Gujarat, according to reports.

With the Gujarat Cabinet approving the allotment of 1,000 acres of land to the company, a formal announcement is expected to be made by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata.

The land for the “Nano” project is located within a 2200-acre campus owned by the Anand Agriculture University. The university has already transferred 1,000 acres back to the government.

The Gujarat Government has gone all out to woo Tata Motors ever since Singur project in West Bengal came unstuck.
