Berlin - German leaders will be happy to meet the presumptive Democratic nominee for the US presidency, Barack Obama, when he visits Germany this summer, government spokesman Ulrich Wilhelm said in Berlin Monday.

Wilhelm said no precise date had been fixed yet for the Obama visit, although Berlin was aware of Senator Obama's announcement that he intended to visit Europe and meet with Chancellor Angela Merkel.
