Recession bites Usher’s wine bar
Washington, Feb 3 : Pop star Usher seems to have become the latest victim of recession, as his wine bar in Atlanta has been forced to close.
The `My Way' hitmaker, who opened The Grape in his hometown in 2006, had plans to expand the brand worldwide, but his wine bar/bistro failed to re-open, as its liquor license is yet to be renewed, reports Contactmusic.
Moreover, the parent company, Grape Enterprise Group, has reportedly filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Usher is not the only celebrity, who has tried and failed in the hospitality industry.
Britney Spear closed down NYLA in 2002 after it struggled to inspire hungry New Yorkers, and Jennifer Lopez''s California eatery Madre went out of business in 2008. (ANI)
