Raju, ex-chairman of Satyam Computers suffering from HepatitisRamalinga Raju, founder of Satyam Computers is suffering from Hepatitis. He was admitted to Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences following chest pain.  

Ramalinga Raju is kept in an intensive care unit. His condition is stable now and his condition is being monitored regularly.

Doctors at the NIMS hospital said that Raju has chronic HCV hepatitis with high viral load and elevated ALT levels. He has been advised to undergo treatment for a maximum period of 72 weeks.

Raju, who was also ex-chairman of Satyam Computers, was in jail since January. The Central Bureau of Investigation had filed charges including criminal conspiracy, cheating and forgery and falsification of accounts against nine people including Raju.

Satyam Computers has been renamed as Mahindra Satyam Ltd after it was sold to Tech Mahindra Ltd in an auction in April.
