Rajnikanth hints at entering politics
Chennai - Tamil superstar Rajinikanth tonight hinted that he may plunge into politics about which there has been speculation for a long time.
"I have been moving in the direction shown by God. If he desires that I should come to politics, I will serve the people," the 63-year-old actor said at the launch of the audio and trailer of his tri-lingual action-thriller 'Lingaa'.
"Politics is dangerous and deep. I am not afraid of politics, but hesitant. In politics you need strong roots," he added.
There has been speculation for years about whether the megastar would join politics as various political parties have been wooing him.
'Lingaa' is expected to release on Rajinikanth's birthday on December 12. The film is being produced in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Oscar winner A R Rahman has scored the music.
About the movie, Rajinikanth said doing films with social message is also a 'service to the society'. 9PTI)
