Purab Kohli All Set to Return On Small Screen With A Bang! Popular model, VJ and Rock On!! star Purab Kohli is all set to return to the small screen.

Purab has been appointed as the anchor for NDTV Imagine’s Knights and Angels. The reality show is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Idiot Box. The show will be screened from 28th Feb. The main objective of this realty show would be to find the cheer leaders for the Kolkata Knight Riders team for the upcoming season of IPL, which is all set to start with a bang from April 10.

Confirming the development, Pranjal Khandhdiya, Red Chillies Idiot Box creative head-non-fiction said, “Purab Kohli is the right choice to anchor 'Knights and Angels'. He has the right mix of charm and attitude required to host a reality show which is a talent hunt for Cheer leaders for Kolkata Knight Riders team''.

After the huge success of Rock On, films were keeping Kohli busy.

“I was busy signing films and shooting for them, when Red Chillies Idiot Box approached me to anchor their new reality show Knights and Angels,” says Kohli. A little confused initially, he soon gave the green signal. “You cannot ask for a bigger producer than SRK.” As a great fan of SRK, Purab feels that SRK is a great entertainer and is an achiever all the way.

It may be here recalled that Purab Kohli started his career as a model and earned appreciation through video jockeying on Channel [V].

Purab initially got a chance in acting with the teenage show Hip Hip Hurray on Zee TV and then shows like 'Chota Moo Badi Baat' and 'Sangharsh' for B4U followed. After these brief stints in acting on TV shows, came his tryst with Channel [V].

Purab has also featured in several ads like Colgate, Pizza Hut, Compaq Presario, Amaron Batteries, Castrol etc.

He made his acting debut with 'Bus Yuhin' (2003) opposite Nandita Das. Besides this film, he acted in 'Supari' (2003), 'Vastu Shastra' (2004), '13th floor' (2005) but it was 'My Brother Nikhil' (2005) which proved lucky for him. From then on he starred in Mahesh Bhatt's "Woh Lamhe" (2006) and as a villian again in Bhatt's "Awarapan"(2007). Last year, he also acted in "Rock On" along with Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal.
