Pulsar135 – another hit for Bajaj Auto

Pulsar135 – another hit for Bajaj AutoAfter getting overwhelming response for the Discover in the 100cc segment, its Pulsar 135 has been able to become the second largest selling bike in performance segment within 100 days of its launch. The lighter version of Pulsar, which was launched in December last year has been able to sell 25,000 units in a month following the 26,000 unit sales of the Pulsar 150cc.

Notably, Bajaj Auto, India’s second largest two wheeler maker by sales has been able to bounce back in the Indian market taking cue from its renewed focus on the entry-level segment.

In fact, Bajaj’s grip on the above 125 cc segment is way tighter than Hero Honda. Bajaj Auto sold 761,993 units between April and February this financial year, compared to its rival Hero Honda’s 213,743 units, according to Society of Automobile Manufacturers.

For the month of February, Bajaj clocked a sales figure of 75,679 units which stood too high as compared to the Hero Honda’s 213,743 units. In fact, experts believe that this segment will take the second largest two-wheeler maker’s growth even further in the Indian market.
