Prosecution ‘intimidated’ Anand Jon’s attorney
Los Angeles, Feb 25 : Rumours are abuzz that prosecutors in Indian fashion designer Anand Jon's case threatened his lawyer.
It has emerged that within a week of the first trial commencing, Eric Chase, one of the key defence attorneys in Jon's case, was intimidated and shaken up by the prosecution, reports IndiaPost. com.
Though still officially an attorney of record, Chase has been visibly absent from all the recent court hearings.
His office claims that they `were not working on this case' but did not deny the threats the prosecution made.
Meanwhile, Jon's well-wishers are trying to have a petition to bring his case to U. S. president Barack Obamas attention signed by 100,000 people.
Through this petition, they want to highlight that the haste with which the jury presided over the case has led to a great injustice. (ANI)
