Priyanka Chopra may be a strong-minded actress but she respects where she started out from. Even though most Bollywood hotties would never give up on a chance to work in a Hollywood flick, Priyanka rejected a Hollywood offer for the Hindi film industry.

Miss Chopra was offered the opportunity to play an important character in the Hollywood movie, 'Dawn of War'. But she denied doing the role, simply because she preferred to do Vishal Bhardwaj's movie, Saat Khoon Maaf.

According to sources, the dates of Bhardwaj's upcoming venture and Hollywood film were both around the same time and the actress would have to assign the early April dates to either movie.

Priyanka tried to work it out however she had no option but to pick just one out of the two movies.

She immediately selected Saat Khoon Maaf over Holloywood flick. She had been given a screenplay of 'Dawn of War' at the same time as she was shooting for Siddharth Anand's Anjaana Anjaani in US.

So in contrast to popular belief, she didn't turn the film down as she didn't like the playscript.

Director Tarsem Singh roped in Freida Pinto after Priyanka turned the film down. Freida will be seen romancing opposite British actor Henry Cavill. Presently, Priyanka is shooting in Gulmarg and Srinagar for Saat Khoon Maaf.
