Privacy Concerns for Google Street View Maps

Google-Street-View-MapsThe European Union is having concerns in privacy related issues with Google. This time it is the Google Street View Maps. Google is also dealing with the same problem with its other products like Nexus One and Buzz.

The European Union has asked Google to make some changes to the way it gathers and retains data for Street View Maps. The EU has also investigated the antitrust accusations against Google earlier this week.

The report says that the Google Street View Maps are designed with significant backlash time. Countries like Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Greece are having privacy related issues with the recent inclusion of Google and have all expressed concern with Street View Maps.

However, Google has responded to all these concerns positively. It has decided to haze people's faces, license plate numbers and other identifiable objects from the videos. Google has assured that it does not want to become a "peeping tom" in town by capturing photos of people in their private moments, which they might not want to share with everyone online. Google is hoping to negotiate the topic by blurring out people's faces.
