PML-Q sees possibility of understanding with PML-N

Sharif conditionally backs Zardari for Pakistani president Islamabad, Aug 28 : Pakistan Muslim League-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain today said that PML-Nawaz presidential candidate Justice (retired) Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui had contacted him in person and asked for PML-Q’s support in the upcoming presidential polls.

Addressing a press conference here, Chaudhry Shujaat said the possibility of a positive outcome could not be ruled out if the PML-N contacts his party.

He said the PML-Q would continue to keep its identity even if it reaches an understanding with any other party.

To a question, PML-Q President said he saw no harm in party-to-party contacts and termed it a normal phenomenon in the world of politics.

PML-Q’s presidential candidate Mushahid Hussain Sayed on the occasion said PPP’s Co-chairman is still facing charges of laundering 60 million dollars, which, he said, makes his (Asif Zardari’s) candidature questionable. (ANI)
