While the news of the upcoming portal is a good news for the citizens who want to put their ideas from the planning commission, it is expected that the process will help the people who are eager to participate in the 12th five year plan.

It is to be mentioned here that the Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia made this announcement on the occasion of 83rd birthday of M V Rajasekaran on the event that recently happened in Bangalore.

Ahluwalia said in his statement that the commission with the launch of this portal aims to invite people to comment and post their approaches on the portal. The suggestions will be discussed while finalizing the 12th plan.

It may be noted here that apart from the agriculture and industries, the planning commission is aiming to address issues like global development, role of markets and governance.

According to the deputy chairman, the high level of urbanization in India is surely a challenge as the urban population is expected to increase from the current level of 28% to 40% by 2040.
