Pinewood Shepperton’s profits dip 24%

Pinewood-SheppertonPinewood Shepperton Teddington, one of the biggest names in film and television studio operator, saw a 24% fall in full-year (pre-tax) profits.

This conglomerate of UK has endowed the world with sound stages for James Bond series and recent hits like Nanny McPhee.

Pinewood Shepperton, which has 34 stages in total and provides support to 280 independent companies, mostly craft and technical services for film-makers quoted a decline in pre-tax profit which has come down to £4.5m ($6.78 million), compared to £5.9m last year.

It is believed that the supposed cause for this situation is the industrial dispute. The brawl that occurred the previous year between the British firm with the Screen Actors Guild remain unsettled till June causing dip in entire profits.

The revenue was also effected by six percent i. e., close to £40.3m making the company suffer.
