The Pill Phone – A Medication Reminder Application By Verizon!

By launching a new application called ‘Pill Phone’, Verizon Wireless has Verizon Pill Phoneproved that it takes care of its customers. The ‘Pill Phone’ is really a good news for those who forget things and a little sad for people having a variety of reasons regarding not taking their medications.

Verizon Wireless, America’s wireless network operator, together with VOCEL, a mobile phone applications publisher, has rolled out a new application called ‘Pill Phone’, which remind users of the time when they are supposed to take their medication.
 
The Pill Phone, a handset edition of the popular medication reference guide the ‘Pill Book’, allows Verizon users to access important information regarding the side effects, quantity and drug interactions of more than 1,800 prescription drugs.

The ‘Medication Reminder’ feature of the newly launched device guarantees that users do not miss their medication dose.

Mark Bartolomeo, vice president of enterprise data sales for Verizon Wireless said, “The Pill Phone helps our customers leverage technology to manage their health by providing educational information and dosage reminders. Our health and wellness conscious customers want to be able to access important health information and The Pill Phone can serve as a valuable resource to help them access this information while on-the-go.”

The Pill Phone has been given an FDA 510 (k) clearance and is protected under U.S. Patent No. 7,340,503.

This application will be compatible with the latest devices of LG, Motorazer and Samsung.

The US subscribers of Verizon network, who have enabled the "Get It Now" feature, can download this doctoral application directly for a monthly charge of $3.99.
